Giulia is a soulful person: her empathy and deep respect for every human being allow her teaching to be always different, to suit everyone's need, expectation and pace. After studying Philosophy in Italy and Spain, she moved to London to attend a masters course in Contemporary Art Theory at Goldsmiths. While in London, she joined a Hatha yoga class and broke into tears: she understood there was something that needed to be explored further. Her curiosity took her to India, where she traveled for three months and started to study the ancient texts of the Eastern philosophy. After staying in an Ashram studying and practising yoga and meditation in the heart of Himalayan Yoga, Rishikesh, she came back to London and trained in 2012 withYogaLondon.
She then continued her training in 2013 with British Wheel of Yoga and she got recognised 500-hours, Level 4 Yoga teacher qualification, the highest recognition in the UK. Indebted to this training, Giulia undestood got a more safe and wise approach of the physical practice and a more in-depth experience of the power of Pranayama.
Furthermore, her interest in meditation took her to practice 10 days silent meditation Vipassana, a Buddhist practice which is the mother of modern mindfulness. While in London, she taught yoga to a variety of students from different age and needs: she was teaching to over 60s for AgeWellUK, to the youth team of West Ham football team, in various gyms and dedicated studios.
She has taught in London, Beirut, Tel Aviv and now in Italy where she owns a bed & breakfast with Yoga studio in Arco, next to Lake Garda.
A soft (Hatha) practice to feel into our senses, stretching every muscle starting from feet and arriving to the head, finishing with a mindfulness meditation to calm the chatter of the mind and to leave you spacious, light and more awakened. Starting with your feet/ankles, moving up to the knees and hips with care, we will feel into the lower body with gentle movements. Arriving to the core, there will be some activations to create sustainable energy that will be spread around the whole upper body, shoulders, neck, head and face. The whole journey has the aim to nurture the body and the soul, and to prepare the mind for a rest into a guided meditation. This session is suitable for all levels, including complete beginners.
